God Bought You At a High Price

He came small and helpless, born into a smelly barn, humble, gentle, sweet. He came to be with us and for us. He came to live as we lived, face what we face. He came to overcome. Overcome all that traps, temps and twists us up. He came because he loves us because he is for us and because he doesn’t want to see any perish! He came to save us.

“It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1:15‬ ‭NASB

“It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.”‭‭
— 1 Timothy‬ ‭1:15‬ ‭NASB

He gave his life for ours.

Jesus was the only one capable of living a flawless life, making him the only suitable sacrifice for the guilt of all mankind. He was the perfect lamb of God.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭NASB

A lot happened between the cradle and the cross. Lepers were healed, the lame walked, the blind could see, demons were cast out, the dead were raised to life, the deaf made to hear, water was turned into wine and the Gospel was preached to the poor, the poor in spirit, the poor in faith and the poor in provision. Wherever Jesus went he brought healing, he brought humility, he brought help, he brought grace, he brought peace, he brought unconditional love.
He brought forgiveness.

“for you were bought with a price. So glorify God.”
1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:20‬ ‭ESV‬‬

If that isn’t enough to make you grateful.....remember how he died. It was a sinners death, hanging on that tree. Before that he was betrayed, humiliated, deserted, spat on, cursed, whipped and severely beaten, horribly beaten, beaten to a pulp kind of beating and made to carry his own cross. He endured all of that for you and me. He took on our punishment for our sins. He knew we couldn’t be perfect, no matter how hard we might try. He knew the temptations would be too great. He loved us so much he found a way to help us not be defeated by this world. Jesus sacrificed Himself for the sake of our reconciliation with God!

“he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him,”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:22‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Best of all, after his family, friends, disciples and followers thought all was lost......HE Rose Again!! Yes! Jesus was raised from the dead! HALLELUJAH!!

HE IS RISEN! Matthew 28:6, Mark 16:6, Luke 24:6

By raising from the dead Jesus proved Once and for All, that he has power and authority to break the bonds and the chains of sin and death, to assure forgiveness and to give eternal life (in Heaven) to anyone who will accept his gift of salvation.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:23‬ ‭NASB

That meek and humble sweet baby that was born into a manger turned out amazingly great didn’t he. He was a servant to all, he loved all, helped as many as he could, endured pain, humiliation, arguments and doubt but managed to stayed sweet, humble and meek. While being all powerful, righteous and forgiving. He came once and for all. To redeem all. Save all. Forgive all. Love all. Include all. Introduce all to Heaven. He is the All-mighty, All-powerful, All-forgiving, All-loving God come as man.

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:1‬ ‭NASB

Remember ALL he has done for you this Easter and honor him by sharing your personal story of salvation and redemption with someone this week!

“For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:10‬ ‭ESV‬‬
