Be Still and Know
Be intentional with the time you spend with God. Set an appointment with Him everyday and keep it.
Be prepared have your bible, or devotional, pen and paper, and a concordance to help you look up certain words, the ones you don’t quite understand. Take the time to study the Word because there is power in it to change your life and get you closer to the person God wants you to be.
Conversely, be quiet and still. You don't always have to be doing something, or saying something when you are spending time with the Lord. Some of my best and most beautiful times are those spent in silence, feeling His presence, basking in his mercy and love.
This is when He can get through to me, when I quiet everything else down. Shut out the world. I am intentionally making space for him to talk with me, download his plans and purposes for my life. These are some of the sweetest moments of my life!
““Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.””
Psalms 46:10 AMP
Get quiet with the Lord today.
