Created For Love

With all the divisiveness going on in the world I would like to encourage everyone to choose to look for good in everybody they meet this week. Be the Love Jesus talks about throughout scripture. Put on His Love. Live His Love. Share His Love. Everywhere you go, be Love. We were created for love. All this conflict we see around us is bad for the soul.

The pain and anger we carry inside can cripple our capacity to love. It can consume with totality. Let it go and learn to love and be loved. We serve a God who conquers through Love, shouldn’t that be our goal too? To conquer and overcome with Love, kindness, mercy, understanding and grace, and to live in peace.

If possible, to the best of your ability, live at peace with all people. Romans 12:18

Notice this scripture says ‘be at peace with ALL people’ not some people or the people you like!

Here are a few scriptures to keep in your heart to encourage you and others. Meditate on them, find and use those that resonate most with you. Use them to inspire, comfort or reassure yourself and those you meet this week (and beyond).

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

“Let all that you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14

Take time to experience the depth of God’s love today. Let his love flow over you, transform you, free you, heal you, restore you, and point you to a greater love with Him and all his people.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1Corinthians13:13

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! 1 John 3:1

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.” John 13:34

When we choose to see the good in others, eventually that’s all we see because we find what we look for. With as much hurt as there is in this world why would we choose to add to it by looking for and living in negativity? Change the narrative. Change your focus. Change the world.

The challenge for us all is to become builders of people instead of a destroyers.

So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another. Romans 14:19

Who can you encourage this week by helping them see what good is within them? God made each of us uniquely. We need to celebrate the beauty of our differences. No two people are exactly alike in personality, disposition, likes, dreams or gifting’s, not even twins, I know this because I have twins who are as different as night is from day. I challenge you to embrace the beauty in peoples differences. Build those people up, make them feel safe. Pour into them and love them. The same way God loves you, without condition.

You can embrace others differences this week and encourage them to be who God created them to be.

“You must let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but only what is beneficial for the building up of the one in need, that it may give grace to those who hear.” Ephesians 4:29

‭‭We will always face differences in our lives, there’s no need to go to war over them. So let’s stop tearing one another down and start the practice of building one another up. You will be a blessing!

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you. Matthew 5:3-12

Father God I ask you help us to walk in Love today and every day. I pray we can be a blessing to everyone we meet by shining the Love of Jesus and by bringing peace to any storm. I ask you to help us understand, appreciate and embrace others differences and make every effort possible to see the good in them, and bring love peace and understanding to every situation and relationship. Amen
