Praise

How much do you really complain? Be honest. If you’ve worked hard all day and come home to a messy house, dishes in the sink, dinner needing to be fixed and laundry piles everywhere do you praise or do you moan and complain. I’m definitely the second option🙋🏼‍♀️

Good news with practice we can flip our complaints into praises.

I hear you, I know what you’re thinking. “Why can’t I just have a moment of grumbling and complaining, mumbling under my breath”? Here’s the truth….complaining brings discontentment and ends up making us feel empty on the inside, it accomplishes nothing and ends up making us feel guilty. Why do that? Instead why not learn to look at what you’re complaining about and remember what a blessing those things or people are. Flip it to praising…thank God you have people to cook for, to clean up after and referee fights for. Its helpful to realize if you didn’t have these people to care for your life would be sadly empty.

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalms‬ ‭34:1‬ ‭ESV

“Let everything that has breath and every breath of life praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)” Psalms‬ ‭150:6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

I’ve found running to Jesus with both my annoyance and my praise fills me up. Taking the time to realize what I’m complaining about is probably something I prayed for helps flip my narrative.

I thank God for my blessings and that His grace is never ending!

“Live a cheerful life, without complaining or division among yourselves.” Philippians‬ ‭2:14‬ ‭TPT‬‬
