Seeking Joy
“For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.”Hebrews 12:3 NKJV
When we think about the sacrifice Christ made for us on the cross we should feel more than gratitude. We should be filled with joy! Think about how he suffered and why he endured it for us…..really, really look at the sacrifice he made and make a decision today, right now, to live for him. Not just exist but really live.Live through the trials, live through the doubting, live through the fear, live through the tears. Learn to live life. Look for the positive rather than the negative. The good instead of the bad. Look for love over hate. Whatever you look for you will find when you look hard enough.
Enjoy every part of life!
Becoming a Christian isn’t a walk in the park. But it sure beats the alternative. Don’t allow yourselves to become weary or discouraged stir up your joy by singing songs of praise to God at the top of your lungs, dance merrily before Him, pray prayers of gratitude for everything you have in life. Family, friends, food in your belly a roof over your head, a job, your hearing, your sight, the ability to speak freely.
Still stuck thinking of something to be joyful about? Listen to the birds singing, children’s laughter, the trees swaying in the breeze, all the pretty flowers, the wagging tail of a dog, the sun, the moon and the stars, the smell of the ocean, the air you are breathing. Be joyful for the breath in your lungs!!
