Are you paying attention to everything God is saying to you? This is a tough one for me but I’m working on it.

Unfortunately there are days when in prayer I sometimes spend a lot of time talking, or complaining sometimes even whining about life. I should be listening to God and paying attention to what he’s whispering to me, you know, leaning in, paying close attention. Instead I’m acting like a spoiled child….no beuno🤦🏼‍♀️

My most frequent questions is: “God how can you use me”. Then, as if he doesn’t know why I’m asking, I give him my list of reasons why he can’t or shouldn’t want to use me: I’m too old, I don’t know enough. I’m a sinner. I going to make mistakes. I have temper issues, I’m undereducated, to name a few.

But God….He tells me my best days are not behind me, they are ahead of me. That’s really, really exciting stuff!! That means I still have work to do. That means I still have time, time to learn, time to do stuff, even time to make those mistakes!

I’m going to stop beating myself up over missed opportunities from my past. Because thats what they are, past, gone, over, finito, done. No matter how hard I try I can’t get them back. I can’t change them. There are no do overs. What’s done is done. So what’s the point in fretting over them and giving them my attention and beating myself up over them. None. Nada. Not-a-one.

God says: “I know all that you’ve done. Now I have set before you a wide-open door that none can shut. Revelation 3:8a TPT

I’m looking forward. I’m seeking Gods face, Gods instruction, I’m looking for the open doors ahead of me. I’m excited to walk through them. I’m excited to see what’s on the other side. I’m no longer regretting what’s behind me, those doors are closed, bolted, locked tight. I can’t change any of that but, it is something God can still use for his glory as I move ahead to his purpose for my life.

GOD HAS TRUSTED US ALL WITH GREAT PURPOSE.

My purpose is much the same as any other Christians. Love people, love GOD. Be love. Share the love of God with everyone. Be proud of my Christianity. Be the salt of the earth. Bring Jesus into my conversations. Give him glory for my life and help others do the same. Teach my family what I’ve learned. Write this Blog. Be Bold For God.

“we have boldness through him, and free access as kings before the Father because of our complete confidence in Christ’s faithfulness.” Ephesians 3:12 TPT

I’m sitting still at his feet and leaning in getting as close as I can because I don’t want to miss a word. I’m trusting him to give me the strength and boldness to do a new thing. I shall keep moving FORWARD toward OPEN DOORS!

“Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19 NASB

Friends, lean in listen to God and find your purpose.
