Imposter Syndrome

Have you ever been trucking along in life believing you’re doing well when all of a sudden out of the blue you feel like you’re an imposter?! Saying something like; “I’m not good enough to do this, if people really knew who I am they wouldn’t want anything to do with me, what on earth am I thinking taking this on, I’m underqualified, I am an imposter”.

BUT GOD! Right.

God said to tell you nothing is impossible with Him because no word from him will ever fail! Whatever it is he’s asked you to do keep on doing it. No matter how you are feeling or what the devil may be whispering in your ear. YOU ARE enough!

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”2 Corinthians‬ ‭10:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].” Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

God has fully equipped you to do all he designed you to do. Don’t let your internal dialogue, lack of support, lack of encouragement or negativity from others deter you from the plans God has placed on your heart.

Don’t forget to love yourself, when you learn to be comfortable in your own skin it works as a steppingstone to becoming who God created you to be.

Remember God created each of us with the specific gifts, talents and skills needed to fulfill our purpose. So, when we’re true to the way He uniquely designed us, we set ourselves up for success. Those around you may not understand you but God does, because he uniquely created you. You are perfect just as you are, be true to your authentic self. You are not an imposter you are a masterpiece in progress.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1-5

Father God, please help me embrace who you made me to be and speak kindly to myself. May I be my best encourager. Always striving to remember the truth that I am your child created perfectly in the image of Jesus. I know and believe I am not an imposter. Amen
