Gods Not Finished with You

Do you have an ache in your soul? Are you longing for something but can’t quite figure out what it is? Have you felt empty or hollow on the inside? Do you look for things of this world to fill the void, the ache you are feeling? Things like alcohol, drugs, parties, spending sprees, careers, driving too fast, etc. All to distract you from your empty feelings or questions of why I am here.

“When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.” Proverbs‬ ‭29:18‬ ‭NLT‬

I can tell you from my own experience chasing after so many things to bring fulfillment doesn’t work. There’s only One person that can bring lasting fulfillment, that person is Jesus. Don’t be like me and wait over 40 years to know him. I can testify it’s futile to live without Jesus in your life. A life without Jesus is a life without finding your real purpose, which is no life at all when you are living without purpose, joy and peace.

Get to know who Jesus really is and how he can impact your life. Take time to find and read through his promises to you in the Bible.

You can Google ‘Jesus’ there’s a wealth of information about him at your fingertips, on your tablet or phone. Find a church. Speak to a friend you know who goes to church. Ask them what a church service is like, what you can expect to experience and learn. You can listen to church services on podcasts or watch a live service on YouTube or Facebook. These things aren’t quite the same as going into a brick-and-mortar building for service, but it will give you an idea of how church flows. It’s a step in the right direction. For those of you who have quit attending Church since Covid I implore you go back, you need the community it provides. Stop isolating yourself!

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans‬ ‭12:2‬

Don’t stay stuck, unhappy or unfulfilled. Make a move today to do something to make progress toward your God given, purpose driven, future with Jesus.

Turn or return to Jesus. Live your life with direction and purpose as you grow your relationship with Jesus.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matthew 5:6

My home church. Victory Tulsa, Victory (online.church), has an empowering declaration we say together every week. It can be used daily to help you understand and believe Gods not done with you.
