Be Kind!
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, KINDNESS, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:12
Wherever you go whatever you do be kind to everyone you meet. It is your Superstrength!
You encourage others when you are kind.
You can bring joy when you are kind.
Someone will feel seen when you are kind.
Someone will feel accepted when you are kind.
Your kindness will touch and change lives.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, KINDNESS, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 NIV
So much is at stake, so go out and shower people with kindness this Christmas season.
You don’t need to spend your life savings! In fact, you don’t have to spend anything at all. A kind word. A simple smile or say hello to a stranger. Drop off a Christmas card for your neighbour(s). Write an encouraging note or Christmas card to your child’s teacher. Hold a door. Give up your seat, if you travel on public transportation. Visit a sick friend or family member. Let someone go before you in the checkout line. Invite someone to your home for a meal. Tell someone they are doing a brilliant job. Bake cookies or some other sweet tasting morsel of goodness for your coworkers. Tell someone they are beautiful. Leave a gift card for your mail carrier or trash men. Say, thank you. Give a genuine heartfelt compliment. Text a friend to tell them what they mean to you, text 20 friends. Leave a generous tip for your waiter or waitress. Pay for someone’s coffee or lunch in line at Rocket Brothers or Panera. If you have a special skill or hobby teach it to someone or make them something. Tell your loved ones how much you love them and how special they are to you; how grateful you are they’re in your life. Write it down so they will have it forever. Write your spouse a love note.
If your Mum and/or Dad are still alive call them and thank them for something specific they’ve done for you, tell them how much you love, appreciate and cherish them.
Say to someone, do you know God loves you and so do I.
There are so many ways to show kindness to people, pick one of mine, pick them all or think of something else that shows kindness. Just Be Kind to everyone you meet. You’ll be amazed at how your random acts of kindness affects your own level of gratitude. In fact, If I were a betting person, I’d bet that it’ll make you feel so giddy you’ll become addicted to it. You will start looking for more and more ways to be a KINDNESS blessing. Get creative with it and surprise yourself!
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other. Ephesians 4:32
If you can be anything, choose to be KIND!
Father as we go through our daily lives help us be aware of opportunities to be kind to our fellow man. Reaching out and touching their lives and hearts with a simple smile or act of kindness. May we shine the kindness, and love, of Jesus wherever we go. Amen.
